God Of War Ascension Game Review
The highly acclaimed God Of War Ascension game title has been quite the talk of the town as of late. Gamers are really getting a kick out of all the new weapons, multiplayer mode, and gameplay action. If you haven’t played God Of War Ascension yet, you can get a good idea of what the overall story is about, and what you can expect while playing by reading below…
The story starts off with the imprisonment of the main character Kratos. After breaking his blood oath with Ares, the three Furies condemn Kratos to be chained down for his actions. The reason Kratos chose to break this oath with Ares, was because he was tricked into killing his spouse and son.
Orkos who originally was allied with the Furies, does not think that the imprisonment of Kratos is right. For this reason, he chooses to help out the Spartan. The Furies later set up an ambush against the Spartan and Orkos and proceed with their plans to imprison Kratos.
In an attempt to make Kratos return to Ares, the Furies torture him relentlessly. Of course, Kratos refuses over and over. He wants nothing to do with Ares.
Shorty after, Kratos manages to escape due to one of the Furies who’s name is Megaera, accidentally freeing him by trying to attack him and unintentionally breaking the chains that were keeping him prisoner. Kratos then manages to kill Megaera, despite her attempt to trick him using illusions and having parts of the prison attack him.
Later on, Kratos eventually manages to track down the 2 remaining furies named Tisiphone & Alecto. The Furies again try to convince him to return to Ares as a slave, by taking the form as the beautiful Lysandra and trying to suduce him. Kratos immediately recognizes that everything is just and illusion and kills both of the furies.
Kratos later returns to his home Sparta where he is reunited with Orkos. Unfortunately, he finds out that the only way for him and Orkos to be truly free from Ares, was for him to kill Orkos. Accepting this as a reality, Orkos honorably lets Kratos kill him by stabbing him.
Though Kratos is now free from Ares, he still has flashbacks of the killings of his wife and child. These traumatic memories continue to haunt Kratos throughout the entire storyline.
